Our story
Three generations on Front Street
Ruth and Earl Dawson opened Riverfront Diner in the spring of 1987 with six booths, a counter, and a flat-top grill they bought from a closing truck stop in Lucasville. Earl worked the griddle. Ruth made the pies. Most days, they sold out of coconut cream by noon.
Their granddaughter Jenna runs the place now. The menu has grown a little and the booths got new vinyl, but the gravy recipe has not changed, and the coffee is still on before the sun comes up over the river.
